Pearl River football's A.J. Prim named All-Region

POPLARVILLE, Miss. — Following a standout year along the defensive line, Pearl River football's A.J. Prim (Tylertown; Foley) has been named to the All-Region 23 Team. With his All-Region selection, Prim will now be nominated for the NJCAA's All-America awards.

Prim became one of the top JUCO recruits in the country during the 2024 season, earning a three-star ranking according to 247Sports.com. 

The sophomore was a mismatch for whichever offensive lineman opposed him during the year, racking up 49 tackles, nine tackles for loss, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, one interception and one defensive touchdown. At the end of the season, he was named First Team All-MACCC and signed with NC State to continue his football career.
