No. 9 PRCC's Brinson Anne Rogers wins third straight MACCC award

POPLARVILLE, Miss. — For the third consecutive week, No. 9 Pearl River softball's Brinson Anne Rogers (Statesboro, Ga.) has been named Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference Pitcher of the Week. 

She now has claimed the award four times this season.

Rogers lands the award after yet another dominant week in the circle for the Wildcats. Across doubleheaders against No. 2 Copiah-Lincoln and Holmes, the right-hander tossed 18 2/3 innings with 33 strikeouts and two complete games. She allowed just two earned runs in her four appearances for a 0.75 ERA.

Her best game of the week was her complete-game shutout against Holmes. She struck out 15 batters in the contest and allowed just three hits and three walks. 

So far in the 2021-22 campaign, Rogers holds a 12-3 record across 103.1 innings pitched. She has struck out an astonishing 199 batters and has a 0.95 ERA. Her 199 strikeouts place her second in the NJCAA and her 0.95 ERA comes in at fourth among those with at least 10 appearances.
