Jones had an incredible week for the No. 2 Pearl River baseball team, going 8-for-16 for a .500 batting average. The third baseman drove in an incredible 12 runs on the week, hitting one double and two home runs along the way. Additionally, he scored seven runs.

He opened the week by going 3-for-8 in a doubleheader against Meridian, picking up an RBI and a double. He exploded against Itawamba. In game one, Jones went 3-for-5 at the plate with two homers, including a grand slam. His eight RBIs in the game are a single-game PRCC record. He also scored three runs. In the second game, he was 2-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs scored. Jones also featured in Pearl River's exhibition against the Biloxi Shuckers, reaching base twice on walks.

The freshman has settled in for Pearl River and now holds a .320 batting average with seven doubles and four home runs. He leads Pearl River in RBIs with 42 and has drawn 11 walks. He's also played an incredible third base on the year, converting 72 of 77 total chances.
