34 Pearl River athletes and three teams recognized by NJCAA for their academic success

POPLARVILLE, Miss. – Pearl River is proud to announce 34 student-athletes and three teams were recognized by the National Junior College Athletic Association for their academic success.

Teams with a combined grade point average of 3.0 or above were recognized as a 2022-23 NJCAA Academic Team. The Pearl River teams receiving this distinction are women's soccer (3.30), softball (3.22) and volleyball (3.11).

Individual student-athletes were also recognized for their success in the classroom. Student-athletes who earned a GPA of 4.0 were recognized as first-team selections, second-team selections achieved a 3.80-3.99 GPA, and third-team selections earned a 3.60-3.79 GPA.
