Jolee Gibson, Jordan Watts named Wildcats of the Week

POPLARVILLE, Miss. — Pearl River has announced its Wildcats of the Week for Sept. 4-10 and volleyball's Jolee Gibson (Brandon) and football's Jordan Watts (Douglasville, Ga.; Alexander) have earned the selections.

JOLEE GIBSON
Gibson led the charge for the Wildcats last week. Across five matches, the sophomore setter racked up a team-high 68 assists and six service aces. She also chipped in on the defensive side of the court, picking up 32 digs which ranked third best on the team.

Gibson has been an important player for the Wildcats all season long. Her 183 assists and 23 service aces lead the team. She's third on the team in digs with 100.

JORDAN WATTS
Watts was electric in his Pearl River debut against Holmes. In the contest, he tallied six catches for 35 yards, but he really did his damage on special teams. Watts returned just two kickoffs but rumbled for 115 yards between them, including a long of 66.
