Natalee Eaves, Jaxon Milam named Wildcats of the Week

POPLARVILLE, Miss. — After a pair of incredible opening weekend showings in the batter's box, Pearl River softball's Natalee Eaves (Louisville; Choctaw Central) and baseball's Jaxon Milam (Phenix City, Ala.; Glenwood Academy) have been named Wildcats of the Week.

NATALEE EAVES
Pearl River had to get the jitters out in the first appearance of the season against National Park. It wasn't until the fourth inning that the Wildcats picked up their first hit, and Eaves jumpstarted it all with a double. The Wildcats went on to win the contest 6-4 and Eaves was 2-for-3 with a run scored. PRCC saw beach balls against Bossier Parish, run-ruling Cavaliers 10-1. Eaves again went 2-for-3 with two runs scored, an RBI and a double.

For the weekend, Eaves went 4-for-6 with three runs, two doubles and an RBI.

JAXON MILAM
Milam had a fantastic debut for the Wildcats, helping lead them to a 3-1 week at Perfect Game's Visit Panama City Beach College Baseball Classic. PRCC took down reigning National Runner-up Northwest Florida 6-4, fell to No. 12 Chipola 7-1, defeated No. 24 John A. Logan 4-2 and shut out Dyersburg State 5-0.

Milam finished the weekend 8-for-14 at the plate for a .571 batting average. He picked up three runs scored, three RBIs and one double. He also stole one base.
