Lonnie Anderson

Lonnie Anderson played for the Wildcats in 1951-52.  He went on to the University of Seattle, where he completed his BS degree. He left there and went to Hoona, Alaska, where he was a coach and teacher. In 1971 he received his master's degree in education.

From 1971-83, Anderson taught social studies and coached basketball in Kake, Alaska. His basketball teams won several regional championships through the years. Anderson also served as an elementary and high school principal and was appointed superintendent of education for 1978 and 1979.

After retiring from public education, Anderson became active in politics and at the time of his induction in 1990 was serving his fourth term as mayor for the city of Kake.

Anderson set the PRC record for the longest interception return (90 yards) when he played for the Wildcats.
