Dudley Miller

Dudley Miller left his home in Fulton, Mississippi and joined other World War II veterans to play football and basketball for the PRC Wildcats. He played guard on both the football and basketball teams. He was selected captain of the 1946 team which posted an 8-2-2 record and a Tung Bowl victory, and captain of the 1947 team which recorded a 6-1-1 record and another appearance in the Tung Bowl. Miller was All-State player both years. He signed with the University of Wyoming Cowboys where he was again named captain and made All-Skyline Conference, but he actually graduated from Mississippi Southern College in 1951 and began his coaching career at Pearl River in 1952 under Dobie Holden.

In 1955, Miller became an assistant coach at East Central, and in 1956, Miller accepted the position of Athletic Director and head football coach at Itawamba where he remained until retirement in 1973.

In 1963 he was elected Mississippi Junior College Coach of the Year. After retirement from Itawamba he served as a public utilities investigator with the Mississippi Public Service Commission.
