Pearl River’s Isaih Moore named MACJC Player of the Week

POPLARVILLE, Miss. — Sophomore Isaih Moore (Columbia, S.C.; Sumter) has been honored by the MACJC.

One week after leading No. 2 Pearl River to its 17th MACJC Championship in program history Moore has been named the Player of the Week.

Tuesday's announcement marks the third time this season Moore, a St. John's signee, has been honored by the MACJC.

Moore averaged a double-double in the three games last week as the Wildcats (25-0) defeated Itawamba 78-57, Jones College 90-86 in overtime and Northeast 79-69.

Moore scored 10 points with 10 rebounds in 28 minutes against ICC while also turning away five Indian shots.

In PRCC's overtime contest against the Bobcats, Moore scored 16 points, pulled in 12 rebounds, made three assists and also recorded three blocks. 

The St. John's signee closed out the week with another strong showing, scoring 13 points with 16 rebounds and two blocks.

Moore is averaging 16.2 points per game with 9.2 rebounds.

TOURNAMENT BRACKET
Top-seeded Pearl River will open the Region XXIII Tournament at 7 p.m. Tuesday against Southern University-Shreveport.

Three-seed LSU-Eunice will play six-seed Jones College at 1 p.m., followed by two-seed Northeast playing seven-seed Northwest at 3 p.m. Four-seed East Mississippi and five-seed Hinds play at five.

The winner of PRCC-SUSLA plays the winner of EMCC-HCC at 3 p.m. Thursday.

The Region XXIII Tournament Championship Game is set for 7 p.m. Friday.
