PRCC's Austin Green earns back-to-back MACCC Player of the Week selections

POPLARVILLE, Miss. — Pearl River men's basketball's Austin Green (Sicklerville, N.J.; Timber Creek Regional) turned in another stellar showing last week, and for his efforts, he has been named the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference Player of the Week for a second time in a row.

Green had a massive impact in Pearl River's 89-62 victory over visiting Delgado. The 6-foot-8 sophomore only played 23 minutes during the game, but he finished with 19 points, seven boards, three steals, and two assists. He was almost perfect from the field, going 9-for-10 on his field goal attempts.

The New Jersey native has been a handful all season long. Playing in 15 of 16 games, Green leads Pearl River in scoring average with 20.3 points per game. Among those with at least 10 games played, he is first on the team in rebounds per game with a mark of 7.8. Green has scored double-digit points in every game this season and 15 or more points in 12 games.
