Pearl River golf struggles at MGCCC Invitational

GULFPORT, Miss. — The Pearl River golf team hit a rough patch in the MGCCC Invitational, finishing in 10th place after grabbing a three-round total of 997. The tournament at Windance Country Club featured both MACCC teams and teams from the surrounding states.

Hunter Robinson (Purvis) was Pearl River's top performer, earning 38th place. The sophomore finished with a three-round total of 245. His second round score of 77 was among the best.

Timothy Turnage (Picayune) finished in 40th place, shooting 30-over. Chandler Van (West Monroe, La.) finished with a total of 248 strokes across the three rounds for a 42nd place-finish.

Hunter Black (Carriere; Pearl River Central) and Carson Cunningham (Carriere; Pearl River Central) rounded out the PRCC performances, scoring 263 and 270, respectively.
