Pearl River places seventh at Meridian Invitational

MERIDIAN, Miss. — The Pearl River golf team placed seventh in the Meridian Invitational, the final tournament of the regular season. 

Quentin Baker (Poplarville) tied for 19th, shooting 76 in round one and 75 in round two. Baker's 151 two-day total put him at 9-over for the tournament. 

Hunter Robinson (Purvis) tied for 22nd, finishing 10-over on the tournament, shooting 79 and 73 on days one and two, respectively. 

Timothy Turage (Picayune) was close behind with a 154 two-day total, with 79 in round one and 75 on day two for a 12-over finish. 

Carson Cunningham (Carriere; Pearl River Central) finished with a score of 18-over, and Chandler Van (West Monroe, La.) ended 20-over for the tournament.  

NEXT UP
The Wildcats will turn their attention to the MACCC Tournament at the Oaks in Pass Christian on April 4-5. PRCC will need a fifth-place finish or higher to advance to the Gulf District Tournament.
