Pearl River golf struggles at Northeast Invitational

CORINTH, Miss. — The Pearl River golf team improved marginally on the second day of the Northeast Invitational but it wasn't enough to gain ground. PRCC shot plus-77 on day one and logged a plus-71 on day two to finish in 11th place.

Brock Craft (Carriere; Pearl River Central) finished in 55th place with a plus-16 round one score and a plus-15 round two. He finished plus-31 overall.

Two-sport athlete Noah Webb (Pearl) earned 57th place. He shot plus-17 in the opening round and improved two strokes for a plus-15 in the second round.

Cort Miley (Carriere; Pearl River Central) shot plus-40. He had was 22-over after day one and shot 18-over on day. He finished in 58th place.

Eli Rawls (Picayune; Pearl River Central) was nearly even on both days, shooting plus-22 in the first round and plus-23 in the second for a 59th place finish.

Jake Rogers (Carriere; Pearl River Central) rounded out the Wildcat effort with a 60th place finish. He shot a combined plus-64.

The Wildcats head to the Lou Hart Invitational hosted by Meridian on Monday. The action will take place at Northwood Country Club in Meridian.
