Pearl River earns 10th at Hinds Invitational

JACKSON, Miss. — The Pearl River men's golf team earned a 10th place finish at the Hinds Invitational, shooting 79-over across two rounds.

Nathan Hickman (Picayune) was Pearl River's top finisher, finishing 11-over. He shot 9-over in the opening round and improved by seven strokes to 2-over in the second round. He was 24th overall.

Jeremiah Cochran (Gautier; Covenant Christian Academy) was consistent over the two days. He shot 9-over and 10-over to finish 19-over and in 44th place.

William Dickerson (Gautier) grabbed 58th place with a 29-over showing. He improved from 17-over to 10-over from the opening round to the second round.

Henry Ros (Pascagoula) had a tough day two. After shooting 9-over to open the tournament, he shot 16-over on day two to finish 25-over and in 53rd place.

Bo Ashley (Purvis) wrapped up the PRCC's team efforts with a 32-over score and a 61st place finish. He was 12-over and 20-over in each round.

Preston Leggett (Laurel; West Jones) competed as an individual and earned 56th place. He shot 20-over to open things before a 13-stroke improvement of 7-over in round two.
