SAUCIER, Miss. — The Pearl River golf team improved by three positions on the second day of the Gulf Coast Invitational at Grand Bear Golf Club, finishing in ninth place with a two-day score of 66-over. The Wildcats shot 39-over on day one before a much-improved 27-over on day two.
Nathan Hickman (Picayune) led PRCC's efforts, finishing in 10th place overall. He shot 4-over in the first round and 1-over in the second round to finish 4-over.
Jeremiah Cochran (Gautier; Covenant Christian) ended things in 30th place with a two-day total of 14-over. He also improved from round one to round, shooting 9-over and 5-over, respectively.
William Dickerson (Gautier) snatched 44th place with a score of 19-over. He also showed improvement on the second day, going from 11-over to 8-over.
Bo Ashley (Purvis) finished in 70th place with a total score of 28-over. The freshman shot 15-over in round one and 13-over in the second round.
Henry Ros (Pascagoula) rounded out PRCC's team efforts with a score of 33-over. He went from plus-20 to plus-13 from round to round.
Bryce Forrester (Hurley; East Central) competed as an individual and finished in 63rd place. He shot 15-over in the second round after beginning the tournament with a score of 11-over.

Pearl River returns to action March 3 at the Warrior Classic hosted by East Central. The tournament will be held at Dancing Rabbit Golf Club in Philadelphia.
