CORINTH, Miss. — The Pearl River men's golf team's season came to a close Tuesday afternoon at the MACCC Championship as the Wildcats grabbed an 11th place finish. The Wildcats shot 88-over as a team.
A bright spot for the Wildcats was that Nathan Hickman (Picayune) qualified as an individual for the upcoming NJCAA Gulf South District Championship at Tunica National Golf & Tennis. He earned his spot by finishing the year with a scoring average of 77.31. He finished in 31st place with a score of 18-over at the MACCC Championship.
William Dickerson (Gautier) and Jeremiah Cochran (Gautier; Covenant Christian Academy) tied for 35th place with a score of 20-over. Bo Ashley (Purvis) was in 52nd with a score of 32-over. Henry Ros (Pascagoula) shot 43-over and was 56th.
NEXT UP
Hickman will compete April 21-23 at the NJCAA Gulf District Tournament, hunting a bid to nationals.
