MAGNOLIA, Ark. — The Pearl River rodeo team struggled to find a rhythm at the Southern Arkansas rodeo. The men's team did not register any points, and the women's team earned just 50.
The Wildcats had two athletes advance to the championship round. Kate Eiland (Kentwood, La.) earned a time of 9.2 seconds in her first round of goat tying to advance to the short go. She followed things up with a nine-second second round to earn fourth overall and grab 50 points.
Molli Rae Kinchen (Tickfaw, La.; Ponchatoula) was PRCC's only other athlete to advance out of the performance round. She snatched a time of 16.66 seconds in barrel racing in the opening round. She then had a time of 17.59 in the second round to earn eighth.
