MERIDIAN, Miss. — The inclement weather forced the East Mississippi rodeo to be cut short, but the Pearl River rodeo team still managed to grab points. The women's team finished in third place with 169.6 points and the men's team grabbed 32 points for 10th.
Trenton Davis (Poplarville) was Pearl River's lone men's team member to earn points, earning 32 in calf roping. He earned a time of 12.5 seconds in his lone attempt.
Jay Rodrigue (Thibodaux, La.) competed as an individual in bull riding and earned a score of 82 on his attempt, earning hiim 145 points.
Molli Rae Kinchen (Tickfaw, La.) earned 31.6 points in breakaway roping, finishing with a time of 3.2 seconds to tie for sixth place.
Kate Eiland (Kentwood, La.) grabbed 69 points after tying for fourth place in goat tying with a time of 8.3 seconds.
