Christie Meeks is entering into year six leading the Pearl River softball program in 2024-25.

In 2024, Pearl River finished with a 42-12 record overall to secure back-to-back 40-win seasons — a first in program history. The Wildcats spent all year in the top-10 of the NJCAA polls and reached a program-best ranking of No. 2.

Meeks helped lead Pearl River to an incredible 43-13 overall record, 22-6 conference record and a perfect 20-0 record at Wildcat Stadium during the 2023 season. PRCC's 43 wins were the most in a single season in program history. Meeks coached Brinson Ann Rogers to being named the MACCC Pitcher of the Year and an NJCAA All-American selection.

In 2022, Meeks' Wildcats finished with a 31-17 record including a 20-8 finish in MACCC play. Pearl River climbed high into the rankings, checking in as high as No. 6.

During the 2021 season, Meeks helped lead the Wildcats to a 27-15 record and broke into the national rankings for the first time. Meeks' team climbed as high as No. 13.

Meeks' debut campaign with the Wildcats in 2020 was cut short due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, but not before PRCC picked up a pair of lopsided victories over perennial powers LSU-Eunice and Northwest Florida State.

Meeks joined the PRCC family after five years as an assistant at Mississippi Gulf Coast.

The Mobile, Alabama, native, filled a number of roles at Gulf Coast. Primarily the pitching coach and recruiting coordinator, Meeks was involved in most aspects of the Bulldogs’ program.

During her five years at MGCCC, the Bulldogs built a 184-50 overall record and earned a NJCAA Tournament berth, won the MACJC and Region XXIII titles, placed second in the State tournament twice and third in the Region Tournament twice.

Individually, Meeks was a key figure in building MGCCC’s dynamic roster. Specifically working with the pitchers, Meeks saw seven MGCCC hurlers sign with four-year programs. Meeks also mentored six pitchers who collectively won 15 MACJC pitching honors, four NJCAA pitching awards and one, Kaitlin Lee, who was a NJCAA All-America selection.

Prior to joining the college ranks, Meeks coached at East Central High School from 2013-14, where she was the pitching coach in addition to the head volleyball coach. Additionally, Meeks was an assistant coach at Satsuma High and Theodore High in Alabama; coaching at SHS in 2011 and THS in 2012. Meeks was also the assistant volleyball coach at THS.

Meeks starred at Theodore before going on to play at Laurleen B. Wallace Community College, where she was an all-region performer and graduated magna cum laude. From there, Meeks moved on to play at the University of Mobile, where she also graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in mathematics. Meeks has also earned a masters in math education from West Alabama.

Meeks and her husband, Eric, have two children, Connor and Olivia.
