Pearl River head softball coach Christie Meeks named Tyler Dobson an assistant coach ahead of the 2024-2025 season.

 

"The first thing that stood out about Tyler is his loyalty. He is responsible, trustworthy, and 100 percent bought in with all he does," Pearl River head coach Christie Meeks said. "We believe he was a perfect fit because his personality traits and desire to continue to learn just fit what we want here. He pays attention to detail and is inspirational. I am excited to see how the girls respond to his motivation and drive."

Dobson will work with the Wildcat outfielders and lead the team's strength and conditioning program. 

 

"With his experience and knowledge working with some of the best baseball athletes and coaches, we are so excited to bring him into our family," Meeks said.

 

 

Dobson played baseball at Petal High School from 2015 to 2018. Following his high school career, he played baseball at Holmes Community College for the 2019 season. 

 

Dobson previously worked as a private instructor, trainer and coach with P360 Sports Performance. Dobson was the pitching coach at Lamar Christian School from 2019 to 2020.

 

Dobson graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies. He earned a minor in Sports Management with concentrations in Business, Health and Leadership.
