Pearl River women's basketball lands five on All-MACCC lists

POPLARVILLE, Miss. — The MACCC Champion Pearl River women's basketball team placed five players on the MACCC's All-Conference lists that were released Tuesday morning.

Jazmine Jackson (Jacksonville, Fla.; Andrew Jackson) was named First Team. Natasha Barnes (Chicago, Ill.; Kenwood Academy), Paris Gilmore (Youngstown, Ohio; Warrensville Heights) and Mikayla Riley (Tupelo) earned Second Team. Sydney Lewis (Upper Marlboro, Md.; McLean School) earned Honorable Mention.

"I am super excited for our players to be recognized for their hard work, commitment and sacrifice as the elite among their peers in such a challenging conference with great players from top to bottom," head coach Scotty Fletcher said. "Our overall team record and accomplishments as a team, partnered with quality depth, can sometimes overshadow stats that reflect the type of player we have on our roster. Our style of play and rotation for this team proved night in and night out that anyone on our roster could step up and lead our team in the way needed for us to be successful.

"Jazz, Riley, Paris, Natasha and Sydney continue to cement their name and legacy in the record books, rightfully so. As their coach, it's very rewarding to see their recognition as the largest group we have ever had with receiving post-season accolades, which directly reflects our team's success."

JAZMINE JACKSON
Jackson did it all for Pearl River in her lone season as a Wildcat, averaging 12.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.5 steals in 28 games played. She scored double-digit points in 19 games for PRCC during the year, including a season-high 29 points against Three Rivers College.

NATASHA BARNES
Barnes was a true 3-point threat every time the ball was in her hands, burying 47 triples on the year. The Missouri State transfer averaged 8.1 points, two rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.2 steals in 27 games. Barnes' best game of the year saw her score 21 points against East Mississippi.

PARIS GILMORE
Gilmore was the definition of a point guard for Pearl River in 2024-25. The Detroit Mercy transfer improved as the year pushed along and ended the season by averaging 8.1 points, 2.5 assists, 1.4 rebounds and 1.3 steals. She had a season-high 16 points in each of PRCC's final two games of the year against LSU Eunice and Mississippi Delta.

MIKAYLA RILEY
Riley had to fight back from an injury during her sophomore season after suffering a season-ending injury as a freshman. She featured in 25 games for PRCC, averaging 8.1 points and 3.2 rebounds. Riley's best game of the year saw her score 19 points against rival Gulf Coast.

SYDNEY LEWIS
Lewis was as dominant as a post player gets this season, falling just short of averaging a double-double. She finished with 10.2 points per game and 9.9 rebounds per game. She also tacked on 1.7 steals. She finished the year with 10 double-doubles. She tallied 18 rebounds in a game against Enterprise State and a season-high 22 points against Hinds.
