Pearl River women's golf takes eighth at Snead State Spring Invitational

MOBILE, Ala. — The Pearl River women's golf team had its first action of the spring semester, competing at the Snead State Spring Invitational at Azalea City Golf Course. The Wildcats finished the tournament in eighth place.

Maya Morelos (Grambling, La.; Ruston) was PRCC's best performer, finishing in 30th place at 48-over. She improved by four strokes from round one to round two, shooting 26-over and 22-over respectively.

Gracie Allgood (Laurel; West Jones) shot 65-over to take 41st place. Allgood also improved from day-to-day. She shot plus-35 to open things and followed with a plus-30 showing.

Elizabeth Purvis (Carriere; Pearl River Central) was 87-over for the two-day tournament, shooting plus-45 and plus-42. Lilian Sanzin (Saucier; West Harrison) finished 99-over with scores of 52-over and 47-over. 

Ashlynn Goss (Picayune; Ignite Christian Academy) rounded out PRCC's efforts, shooting plus-106. She was dead even over the two days, shooting 53-over in each.
