POPLARVILLE, Miss — Following a pair of dominant performances on the pitch, No. 11 Pearl River women's soccer's Frederikke Nielsen (Spentrup, Denmark; Randers Statsskole) has been named the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference Player of the Week.

The award comes after Nielsen was the driving force in Pearl River's 16-0 and 10-0 victories over Cossatot and National Park, respectively. 

In the season opener against the Colts, Nielsen was crucial to the attack nearly every time as she bagged her first collegiate hat trick. The following day, Nielsen turned provider against National Park as she dished out three assists before joining in on the scoring party herself.

For the weekend, Nielsen finished with four goals and three assists.

Nielsen was also named Wildcat of the Week following the performance.
