No. 10 Pearl River's Frederikke Nielsen named MACCC Player of the Week

POPLARVILLE, Miss. — Pearl River women's soccer's Frederikke Nielsen helped lead the Wildcats to an undefeated week. She has been named the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference Player of the Week for her efforts.

Nielsen had a spectacular week for the Wildcats. PRCC began the week with a matchup against No. 19 Itawamba. The sophomore bagged a goal and an assist in a 4-0 bashing of the Indians. A few days later, Nielsen led Pearl River to a Gulf South District Quarterfinal victory over Gulf Coast by converting a pair of penalty kicks and assisting on another goal to help PRCC secure the 3-1 victory.

Nielen has been terrific for Pearl River this season. Through 15 games, Nielsen leads the Wildcats in scoring with 13 goals. She's tied for second on the team in assists with six.
