Pearl River drops tough match against Coastal Alabama - South

BAY MINETTE, Ala. — The match went the distance, but the Pearl River Volleyball team couldn't complete the comeback Friday night, falling to Coastal Alabama – South 3-2 (14-25, 16-25, 26-24, 25-18, 14-16)

"We had a tough time finding our rhythm against a good Coastal Alabama – South team, but once we found it, we did what we came to do — compete," head coach Haley Chatham said. "Tomorrow, we aim to do the same but with a much quicker start."

Pearl River (18-12 overall) struggled to find its footing in the first set of the day as Coastal Alabama – South ran away with a 25-14 win.

Despite falling 25-16 in the second set, it appeared it had started to click for the Wildcats near the end.

The Wildcats dug deep to battle back and even the match in the fourth set, winning it 25-18.
