Pearl River's Lauren McLamore honored by MACCC

POPLARVILLE, Miss. — Pearl River volleyball's Lauren McLamore (Brandon) was clinical on defense in the Wildcats' season opener against Coastal Alabama - East. For her efforts, she has been named the inaugural MACCC Defensive Player of the Week.

The Wildcats earned the clean sweep in weekly awards as Natalie Bartholomew (Brandon) was named Offensive Player of the Week.

In the clean sweep over the Coyotes, McLamore finished with a team-high 15 digs. On numerous occasions, her effort was unmatched as she routinely got to balls that usually hit the floor. 

She chipped in on the offensive side with a pair of assists. 

McLamore is off to a great start in the 2023 season, as she has collected 23 digs, three assists, and one ace so far.
