PRCC cheer announces 3 clinic opportunities

POPLARVILLE, Miss. — The Pearl River Community College's two-time National Champion cheerleaders announced three upcoming dates for aspiring Wildcats to hone their skills.

PRCC will host its annual Cheerleading College Prep Clinic on Sept. 24, Oct. 22 and Dec. 17 from 3-5:30 p.m. inside historic Shivers Gymnasium. The clinics are for cheerleaders in 9th grade and older.

Each session is $45 and participants must complete an athletic waiver form, which can be found at PRCC.edu/athletic-waiver.

LITTLE WILDCATS CHEER CLINIC

PRCC's cheer program has several other exciting opportunities. The 2023 Little Wildcat Cheer Clinic is scheduled for 9 a.m. Oct. 7 inside Shivers Gymnasium. The clinic is open to little wildcats ages 3-12. Participants will receive clinic shirts and snacks. Clinic participants are invited to join PRCC's cheerleaders for a special pre-game performance on Oct. 12 when the Wildcat football team faces rival Jones College. Kickoff at Dobie Holden Stadium is 7 p.m. Clinic participants get into the game free with their clinic shirt.

Registration is $40 and can be secured by visiting PRCCAthletics.com/camps.

The deadline to register is Sept. 27.

CHEER ALUMNI PERFORMANCE

PRCC's Oct. 12 game against Jones College will also serve as PRCC's Cheer Alumni Game. The game will include a special alumni performance during the second quarter.

There will be an optional practice from 3-5 p.m. on Oct. 7 inside Shivers Gymnasium.

Registration is $25 and includes a t-shirt, which can be picked up at the practice.

Anyone who registers receives one free general admission ticket to the game.

Any former Wildcat cheerleaders who are interested in joining the fun can register by visiting PRCCAthletics.com/camps. The deadline to register is Sept. 27.
