POPLARVILLE, Miss. — The National Champion Pearl River cheer team held its signing day Wednesday night and four Wildcats are headed to the next-level.
Zoey Feazell (Mendenhall) signed with Southern Miss, Maddison Graham (Hattiesburg; Oak Grove) signed with West Georgia, I'Miya Oatis (Hattiesburg; Oak Grove) signed with Morehead State and Camryn Stamps (Hattiesburg; Oak Grove) signed with Southeastern Louisiana.
"I'Miya, Camryn and Maddison are three very talented freshmen heading out to some fantastic programs," head coach Sarah Smith said. "From the moment they committed to Pearl River cheerleading, I knew they'd contribute greaty to our success, but I also knew University coaches would be calling on them soon. We wish them the very best and know they will be assets to their new teams.
"Zoey is a sophomore moving on to cheer at Southern Miss. Zoey came to Pearl River with the desire to grow and be great. She accomplished that and was instrumental in leading the team this year. Even as a freshman, she was influential. Watching her encourage and instruct other teammates has been a joy. I'm thankful for her and look forward to seeing her in black and gold."
