POPLARVILLE, Miss. — The Mississippi Association of Community College recently released its All-Conference teams, and nine Pearl River football athletes made the lists.
Quandarius Keyes (Laurel) and A.J. Prim (Tylertown; Foley) were on the First Team. Robert Clark (Gluckstadt; St. Joseph) and Amarion Tyson (Picayune) grabbed Second Team honors. Slater Adams (Quitman), Jalen Anderson (Slidell, La.), Charles Atkins Jr. (Metairie, La.; East Jefferson), Amari Butler (Petal) and Keenan Franks (State Line; Greene County) were named Honorable Mention.
QUANDARIUS KEYES
Keyes has seen his recruitment explode after an incredible sophomore campaign for Pearl River. The cornerback wasn't tested often due to his supreme coverage skills.
The 247Sports.com three-star prospect finished the year with 15 tackles, eight pass breakups and one interception.
A.J. PRIM
Just like Keyes, Prim's recruitment took off during his sophomore campaign. The 6-foot-3, 255-pound defensive lineman has been named a three-star prospect by 247Sports.com.
The NC State commit was one of the most feared defensive linemen in the MACCC, registering 49 tackles, nine tackles for loss, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, one interception and one defensive touchdown.
ROBERT CLARK
Clark anchored the quarterback's blindside all season long at the left tackle position. He helped the Wildcats 2,960 total yards, 213.2 rushing yards per game and 115.7 passing yards per game.
AMARION TYSON
Tyson was elite at the linebacker position this season. Despite standing at 5-foot-5, he was in the middle of nearly every play. He ended the season third on the team with 53 tackles, first with an incredible 11.5 tackles for loss, two pass breakups and one forced fumble.
SLATER ADAMS
Adams was a huge factor in PRCC's much-improved offense during the 2024 season. With him locking down a guard position, PRCC finished the year with nearly 3,000 total yards, 213.2 rushing yards per game and 115.7 passing yards per game.
JALEN ANDERSON
Anderson was a one-man wrecking crew for Pearl River throughout the year. In his freshman season, he finished with 39 tackles, nine tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks. He earned two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and one interception on the year.
CHARLES ATKINS JR.
Atkins Jr. gave PRCC a third big-time pass-rushing presence of the year. His sophomore season saw him tally 33 tackles, seven tackles for loss, one sack and two fumble recoveries.
AMARI BUTLER
Butler was one of PRCC's top defensive backs on the season. He tallied 28 tackles, three tackles for loss and one forced fumble. He also broke up passes frequently, tallying an incredible seven on the year.
KEENAN FRANKS
Franks was a fantastic story for Pearl River this season. He earned a spot on the team after a tryout and went on to become the Wildcats' leading rusher. He carried the ball 107 times for 531 yards and three touchdowns.
He had a string of three consecutive games with at least 100 rushing yards during the year — the first player to accomplish the feat since Markevion Quinn in 2017.
