Pearl River’s Tae Hardy named MACJC Player of the Week

POPLARVILLE, Miss. — For his efforts in leading No. 4 Pearl River (8-0 overall) past Copiah-Lincoln in their MACJC opener last week, point guard Tae Hardy (Ellenwood, Ga.; Believe Prep) has been named the MACJC Player of the Week.

Hardy is the second Wildcat to receive the honor this season, joining St. John's signee Isaih Moore (Columbia, S.C.; Sumter).

Hardy had a monster game in PRCC's 102-59 victory in Wesson, scoring 28 points with six assists, five steals and three rebounds.

Hardy is PRCC's leading scorer this season, averaging 19.6 points per game. His scoring clip ranks 35th in the NJCAA and fourth in the league. 

Hardy is also averaging 4.0 steals and 3.9 assists for the Wildcats.

The East Carolina transfer was named the Forrest Health Wildcat of the Week for the second time this season on Monday.

NEXT UP

The Wildcats return to the hardwood Jan. 7 with a 5:30 p.m. tip-off at Delgado. PRCC returns to Marvin R. White Coliseum on Jan. 9 for a doubleheader against East Central. Tip is set for 5:30 p.m.
