Pearl River’s Brinson Anne Rogers named NFCA All-American

POPLARVILLE, Miss. — Pearl River softball's Brinson Anne Rogers (Statesboro, Ga.) has been no stranger to accolades during the 2022 campaign.The Wildcat ace can add another to her list Friday after being named First Team All-American by National Fastpitch Coaches Association.

The right-hander has already been named First Team All-MACCC, Five-time MACCC Pitcher of the Week and NFCA First Team All-South Region.

"Wow, what an accomplishment," head coach Christie Meeks said. "We are so proud of Brinson and all she accomplished this season not only from her and the goals she set for herself but also for this team, school, and fans. I could not be more excited for her."

Rogers finished her 2022 season as one of the top pitchers in the country.

She finished her phenomenal first season as a Wildcat with a 17-5 record across 156 1/3 innings pitched. She threw 16 complete games and saved two games.

After the conclusion of the season, Rogers' 0.94 ERA ranked at the very top of the NJCAA DII leaderboards. Her 13.39 strikeouts per seven innings mark was also tops in the country. She finished the year with 299 strikeouts which placed her third in the country.

2022 SEASON
The Wildcats are fresh off a season where they collected a 31-17 record. Pearl River's 31 wins were the most since the program won 30 games in 2010. PRCC also finished with a 20-8 record
in conference play.

The Wildcats finished the year ranked among the top 10 teams in the country, coming in at No. 9. They were featured in every edition of the NJCAA rankings and ranked as high as No. 7.
