    SENATOBIA, Miss. – The No. 4 Pearl River softball team left Senatobia with a hard-fought split against the homestanding Northwest Rangers on Saturday. The Wildcats used a strong outing by starting pitcher Natalie Herrington (Petal) and timely hitting to knock off the Rangers 6-4 in game one. The Rangers offense came alive late in game two to secure a 6-5 nightcap victory.

The Wildcat offense had twenty-one hits, and the defense held the Tigers hitless in a 21-0 game one five-inning win. Pearl River carried the momentum to game two with another five-inning victory, 11-0.

In game two, Pearl River leaned on pitcher Bryn Daughtery (Vancleave) in her first start of MACCC play and timely offense in a 7-0 win.
