No. 12 Pearl River's CharLee Meadows named MACCC Player of the Week

POPLARVILLE, Miss — A dominant week at the plate for the No. 12 Pearl River softball has resulted in CharLee Meadows (Piave; Greene County) being named Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference Player of the Week.

Meadows tore the cover off the softball last week for the Wildcats, hitting .615 across doubleheaders against Southwest and Mississippi Delta. She collected 12 RBIs, five runs scored, two triples, one homer and one double.

In a single game against Southwest, Meadows finished a single shy of the cycle and drove in seven of the Wildcats' 10 runs.

Meadows has been steady for the Wildcats this season, holding a .294 batting average with three doubles, two triples and two homers. She's also collected 21 RBIs and 12 runs scored.

The award marks the second time this season that PRCC has been honored by the MACCC as Brinson Anne Rogers (Statesboro, Ga.) took home Pitcher of the Week a few weeks back.
