Brinson Anne Rogers earns second MACCC Pitcher of the Week award

POPLARVILLE, Miss. — Fresh off the third no-hitter of her Wildcat career, No. 10 Pearl River's Brinson Anne Rogers (Statesboro, Ga.) has been named the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference Pitcher of the Week.

Tuesday marks the second time that Rogers has been named Pitcher of the Week during the 2023 season.

Once again, Rogers proved she was one of the most dominant pitchers in the country last week. The former NJCAA DII Second Team All-American began the week with a start against archrival Gulf Coast. In the game, Rogers struck out 15 batters on the way to a no-hitter.

A few days later, Rogers entered the game in relief against Coahoma. Over a stretch of 5 2/3 innings, she struck out 10 Tigers and allowed just one hit to pick up the win.

So far in 2023, Rogers has a 15-2 record with 13 complete games. Through 114 innings pitched, she has allowed just eight earned runs for an NJCAA DII-best 0.49 ERA. Her 185 strikeouts rank sixth best in the country while her 11.36 strikeouts per seven innings rank fifth best.
