No. 9 Pearl River’s Brinson Anne Rogers tabbed MACCC Pitcher of the Week

POPLARVILLE, Miss. — The Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference has announced its Pitcher of the Week award and Brinson Anne Rogers (Statesboro, Ga.) gets to take home the honor for a third time.

With Rogers' award, PRCC has swept the conference's weekly awards as Morgan Lavergne (Baton Rouge, La.; Central) earned the Player of the Week honor.

Rogers appeared in just one game last week but made the most of it. The right-hander threw a complete game with one earned run on four hits and a walk. She struck out an outstanding 15 batters, which marked her 14th double-digit strikeout game of the year.

Rogers has backed up last season's All-American year with an equally impressive 2023 campaign. Nationally, Rogers currently sits second in ERA (0.69), sixth in strikeouts (230) and fourth in strikeouts per seven innings (11.29). She has thrown 142 2/3 innings and allowed just 14 earned runs. She has compiled an 18-3 record with one save and 17 complete games.
