Wildcats stumble against No. 4 Northwest Florida

NICEVILLE, Fla. — The Pearl River Wildcats hit a bit of wall Thursday night when they took on the No. 4 team in the country in Northwest Florida State College falling 67-21.

The Wildcats (4-3 overall) could not get their offense going for most of the night and went into halftime trailing 28-13.

Northwest Florida (12-0) did not let up in the second half matching a dominant first half performance with a great second half of play.

"I loved the fight we showed for 40 minutes tonight even though the score may not reflect that, " said PRCC coach Scotty Fletcher.

"Our girls never dropped their head based on shot making and shot missing. Give Northwest Florida a lot of credit they are a very talented ball club and their length really bothered us tonight. The positives tonight were we had 18 offensive rebounds and we got to the free throw line 16 times."
