Sports Medicine Team

Dr. Lance Line Lance Line, M.D.

A native of the Mississippi Delta, Dr. Lance Line is from Cleveland, Miss. and graduated with honors from the University of Mississippi. After graduation, he attended medical school at UMC in Jackson and subsequently, completed a residency in orthopedic surgery in 1994. A sub-specialty Fellowship in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy was completed in Richmond, Va. prior to joining Southern Bone and Joint Specialists, P.A. in 1995. Dr. Line enjoys an active sports medicine practice in Hattiesburg where he is a team physician Pearl River Community College, the University of Southern Mississippi, and William Carey University. He has worked in the past with the Pittsburg Steelers organization and is currently on staff as a Volunteer physician for the U.S. Olympic Team.

Dr. Line is board certified and fellowship trained in sports medicine. He is currently the president-elect of the Mississippi Orthopedic Society. Dr. Line has been in practice in the same location for more than 20 years. He resides in Hattiesburg with his wife, Marcia, and their two children, Rush and Haley.

Dr. Robert Dews Robert Dews, M.D.

Dr. Robert Dews is a fellowship-trained, board-certified sports medicine orthopedic surgeon.

Dews, a Hattiesburg native, received his bachelor's degree from Millsaps College. He received his medical degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center where he also completed a residency. He completed an AO Trauma fellowship at Watauga Orthopedics and a sports medicine fellowship at Mississippi Sports Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, American College of Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy Association of North America, American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine and Mississippi Orthopaedic Society

Dr. Neal Gregg Neal Gregg, M.D.

Dr. Neal Gregg is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon.

Gregg, a Hattiesburg native, received his bachelor's degree from William Carey University where he played baseball. He also was minor league baseball player for the New York Yankees. He received his doctor of osteopathy degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He completed an orthopedic residency from the Medical College of Georgia.
