Reigning MACCC Champion Pearl River announces exciting 2025 schedule

POPLARVILLE, Miss. — With the season just under a month away, the MACCC Champion Pearl River baseball team has announced its 2025 schedule.

Pearl River opens the regular season at the Visit Panama City Beach Baseball Classic in Panama City Beach on Jan. 31 against 2024 NJCAA DI National Runner-Up Northwest Florida. The Wildcats will play in two more games on Feb. 1 as part of the tournament, with opponents to be determined. 

PRCC's first home doubleheader of the year will be on Feb. 7 against Baton Rouge. PRCC then hits the road on Feb. 10 to take on Baton Rouge in a single nine-inning game. 

The Wildcats return home Feb. 14-15. On Feb. 14, Pearl River squares off with Gulf Coast State (Fla.). The Wildcats take on Gulf Coast State and Chattahoochee Valley (Ala.) on Feb 15 as part of a tri-game.

Pearl River then hosts a tri-game on Feb. 18. The Wildcats take on Holmes and East Mississippi, with the teams playing each other between. Coastal Alabama - South makes the trip to Dub Herring Park on Feb. 22 for a doubleheader.

Pearl River gets its first rivalry action of the year underway on Feb. 26., heading to Perkinston to take on Jones College and Gulf Coast. The Wildcats open March by heading to Summit to face Lansing (Mich.) and Southwest on March 2. Two days later, Pearl River faces Meridian and Copiah-Lincoln in Meridian on March 4.

The Wildcats host Southeastern (Iowa) and South Arkansas on March 7 and take on South Arkansas in a single game on March 8. Nunez then makes the trip to Poplarville on March 12 for a single nine-inning game.

Conference play picks up March 15 as Pearl River hosts Northwest. The Wildcats then hit the road for two doubleheaders, facing East Central on March 18 and Holmes on March 22.

PRCC plays host to Hinds on March 26 and Mississippi Delta on March 29.

April begins with a pair of road doubleheaders. The Wildcats head to Meridian on April 1 and Itawamba on April 5. Pearl River returns home for three consecutive doubleheaders. Copiah-Lincoln makes the trip on April 9, Coahoma comes to town on April 12, and rival Gulf Coast rounds things out on April 15.

The Wildcats take to the road on April 18 to square off against East Mississippi before the Wildcats host their final home game of the season on April 23 against rival Jones College.

Pearl River closes out the regular season with an April 26 showdown at Northeast and then a matchup at Southwest on April 29.

POSTSEASON
The Region 23 Tournament format will look different in 2025. The play-in series will take place on May 5. A pair of four-team brackets will compete May 6-9, with the winners of each bracket advancing to a three-game series May 14-16. The winner advances to the NJCAA DII World Series in Enid, Okla. May 25-June 1.
