No. 5 Pearl River's Max Miller named MACCC Pitcher of the Week

POPLARVILLE, Miss. — No. 5 Pearl River baseball's Max Miller (Vancleave) made quite the impression in his first weekend as a Wildcat, and the left-hander has been named the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference's Pitcher of the Week.

Miller first appeared as a Wildcat in a save situation against No. 24 John A. Logan. The left-hander came into the game with the winning run at the plate and needed just five pitches to punch out the batter and secure the save, 4-2. PRCC handed Miller the ball as a starter against Dyersburg State the next morning. He proceeded to throw three no-hit, shutout innings against the Eagles while striking out an incredible six batters. He only allowed one walk.

He finished the weekend with 3 1/3 innings pitched, striking out seven batters, allowing one walk, and giving up zero hits.
