Pearl River baseball confirms third exhibition with Biloxi Shuckers

POPLARVILLE, Miss. — For a third consecutive season, the No. 2 Pearl River baseball team will be making the trip to the Coast to square off with the Biloxi Shuckers.

The seven-inning exhibition game will take place April 2 at 6:35 p.m. in Keesler Federal Park. 

"It's such a positive all-around experience working with Pearl River and Coach Avalon," Shuckers General Manager Hunter Reed said. "We're excited for our fans to joins us for a great night of baseball and to get their first look at the team for our 10th anniversary season."

"We are extremely excited and thankful to once again have the opportunity for our guys to experience playing against the Shuckers," Pearl River head coach Michael Avalon added. "We are very thankful to the Shuckers and the entire Brewers organization for awarding us this opportunity."

Tickets for the exhibition are available now through Ticketmaster and the Shuckers Box Office (145 Caillavet Street; Biloxi, Miss. 39533). All tickets are general admission and are available for $14. 

ABOUT THE SHUCKERS
The Biloxi Shuckers are the Double-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers and are set to begin their 10th season in Biloxi. The Shuckers were a playoff team in 2024 and took home a flurry of awards. Craig Yoho and K.C. Hunt were Co-Minor League Pitchers of the Year while Cooper Pratt was Co-Player of the Year. 

The Shuckers open the 2025 season April 5 on the road against the Pensacola Blue Wahoos.

ABOUT THE WILDCATS
Pearl River heads into MACCC play ranked as the No. 2 team in the NJCAA Division II Baseball poll. The Wildcats have a current record of 20-4 and boast nine victories over ranked foes. Through 24 games, Pearl River boasts a .289 batting average and have hit 13 home runs. The Wildcats have really excelled on the mound, holding a 2.26 ERA through 191 innings pitched. The Wildcats have struck out an impressive 252 batters.
