No. 1 Pearl River's Topher Jones named MACCC Player of the Week

POPLARVILLE, Miss. — No. 1 Pearl River's Topher Jones (Hernando) tore the cover off the baseball last week and has been named the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference Player of the Week.

Across three games, Jones went 7-for-12 to finish with a .583 batting average. He drove in an incredible nine runs, hit a double and a home run. He also stole a base. 

Through 26 games, Jones is hitting .287 with 22 RBIs and nine runs. He has hit four doubles and two homers. The freshman has also walked seven times and stole one base.
