Lott is entering his sixth season at PRCC in the 2024-25 school year and is the hitting coach and recruiting coordinator for the Wildcats.
Under Lott's guidance, the Wildcats were one of the top offensive teams in the country in 2021, finishing with a .309 batting average, .427 on-base percentage, .577 slugging percentage and 90 home runs.
In 2022, Lott and the Wildcats were again one of the best teams in the NJCAA at the plate. In addition to winning the NJCAA National Championship, Pearl River claimed the MACCC and Region 23 Titles. As a team, the Wildcats held a .336 batting average, .449 on-base percentage and a .551 slugging percentage. They scored 519 runs and belted 85 home runs as a team. Lott helped coach NJCAA Division II Player of the Year, Tate Parker.
The 2023 Wildcats were once again deadly on offense, finishing the year with a .318 batting average, .451 on-base percentage and .512 slugging percentage. PRCC belted 61 homers on the year and scored a whopping 508 runs. PRCC scored 10 or more runs in 25 games during the year, including two games over 20 runs.
PRCC's 2024 offense was among the best in the country in numerous categories, ranking 24th in on-base percentage (.444), 15th in batting average (.338), 12th in doubles (172), ninth in hits (609), sixth in slugging percentage (.569), sixth in RBIs (468), third in homers (85) and third in extra-base hits (229). Lott helped coach MACCC Player of the Year, Hollis Porter.
Lott comes to PRCC after one season at Delta State University. While at DSU, Lott served as the hitting coach, helping lead the Statesmen to a Gulf South Conference Tournament title and also a NCAA DII South II Regional title. Tied DSU record and tied for lead amongst conference teams in team overall fielding percentage with a .967 percentage.
Before arriving at Delta State, Lott coached at Meridian Community College from 2014 to 2018, while earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2016 from Mississippi State University.
In 2018 Meridian led the NJCAA in team batting average during the regular season with a .368 batting average.
Lott also attended East Central and Meridian as a student, earning his Associates Degree from Meridian in 2014.
Lott graduated from Clarkdale High School in 2012, where he also played baseball.
Lott and his wife, Melissa, married in the summer of 2018.
