POPLARVILLE, Miss. — Needing a victory in its season finale against Northwest, the No. 4 Pearl River’s possibility of winning the MACCC Championship rested on the shoulders of freshman starting pitcher Caleb Dyess (Carriere; Pearl River Central). The right-hander toed the rubber, dug in and fired off a complete-game effort, allowing just one run to help the Wildcats take down Northwest 7-1 and win their third MACCC title in the last four seasons.
ELLISVILLE, Miss. — Powered by a relentless offense, the No. 3 Pearl River Wildcats completed a sweep of No. 13 Jones College Wednesday night, winning 16-8 in game one and 9-2 in game two.

PRCC took down Coahoma 13-2 in game one and snatched game two 12-3. The Wildcats are now 22-0 in MACCC play and have at least a three-game lead on its MACCC foes for first place.

MERIDIAN, Miss. — The No. 5 Pearl River Wildcats went into a nationally ranked matchup with No. 12 Meridian Tuesday night and came away with two huge wins. The first game was one-sided, with the Wildcats winning 14-2. The second game was much closer, but with a timely home run, PRCC was victorious 5-2.
